Prosoya Kenya Limited was registered in 2009 and commenced  operations  in 2010 as a producer of ready-to-eat and ready to use fortified blended foods (FBFs) for the low income segment of the population  (BOPs) with our products targeted at pregnant women,  lactating mothers, children who are being weaned and patients with chronic diseases such as, arthritis, diabetes, HIV among others.

Prosoya Kenya Limited supports the use of indigenous orphaned crops such as millet and sorghum which do well in marginal rainfall regions but are yet to be fully commercialized. Our products' main raw materials are maize, soya, sorghum and finger millet, which we get from small scale farmers through aggregators. Prosoya Kenya Limited currently supports about 4000 small scale farmers in Migori and Tharaka Nithi, over 60°/o of whom are women. The company intends to scale this number to 20,000 by 2023.

Through its distribution model, Prosoya Kenya Limited expects to create about 5000 jobs especially among the women and the youth, thus tackling the unemployment issue in Kenya.
